I enjoy taking my inspiration from nature. Painting on site extends my love for the outdoors to canvas. Living in Santa Fe, New Mexico and the British Virgin Islands awes and inspires me with the varied ways nature presents itself. The cloud formations, vistas, and unusual atmosphere shows the Southwest’s palette with endless variety and possibilities. In the Caribbean, the surprise of seeing the green underside of a cloud shows the unexpected in a vibrant and tropical landscape. The sea presents an unfathomable variety of colors. Painting outdoors is an ongoing opportunity to appreciate the endless beauty of nature. I try to communicate this passion in a new way in each painting.
